I have not done in quite some time. Why? Because my husband has a crazy schedule and he is not off every single Sunday to go to church with me. I tend to get into a routine of just going to service and missing Sunday School. I get up, get the kids ready, send them to Sunday School and I go sit in service with my parents.
Sermon yesterday was great. Pastor Micheal spoke from Philipians 3:12-16
I write this post to simply share some of the points that I wrote down when I was taking notes.
** All believers are to grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord.
**Realize your own weaknesses(vs. 12)
**We should always pursue more truth about God
***GOD IS INEXHAUSTIBLE!!!(that in itself is AWESOME)
*We should NEVER stop pursuing Christ
**Focus on opportunities to learn more about Christ--Forget what lies behind you.
Don't look back in a way that keeps your eyes off of Christ. Look AHEAD in a way that builds your faith.
Use all your spiritual muscles and NEVER quit running.
To 'press on' means vigorous active pursuit
Our purpose should be to glorify God TODAY. To be in Christ, we are to live what we are declared to be.
Phil 3:17---Be an example in how you WALK and PURSUE God---and no matter what, pursue the Lord daily!!!
